Planning A Kids’ Party

Whether you’re organizing an indoor or an outdoor kids party, good planning will ensure a fun time is had by all.

So a good first step to take when you’re throwing a party for children is to write a checklist.  As this will help you to remember, and to keep track of, all the things that you’ll need to make a decision on, shop for, or make,

Your ‘To Do’ list will probably need to include most of the things we’ve listed below:

The place, the date, and the time of the party
Book the venue (if necessary)
Party theme
Decorations – including a centerpiece, and tableware
Table cover, and napkins
Guest list
Invitations
Games
Prizes
Favors – filled loot bags or similar
Food – including  of course a birthday cake (and candles).
Enlist some helpers – perhaps another mommy or two, or maybe grandma
Camera

And don’t forget, providing of course the guest of honor is old enough, it’s always a good idea to try to involve him or her in the party planning decisions, and preparations too.
